At Profit First Accounting & Coaching, we work with small business owners to build profit into their business on purpose, rather than hoping it turns up at the end of the year. We give business owners a foundation system — no finance degree required — that turns profit into a repeatable habit, not a hope. Future Focused Business is our structured, tier-by-tier coaching program built on the Profit First methodology. It's delivered through practical workbooks, short teaching videos, and optional weekly group coaching calls — and it's built around a simple idea: each level of your business needs to be genuinely solid before the next one can hold weight.
THE FRAMEWORK
The Business Priority Pyramid
Every business has six foundational tiers of need. Each one is built on the one beneath it — Awareness at the base, through Sales, Profit, Structure and Impact, up to Legacy at the peak. You won't skip ahead. Each tier is completed, genuinely and honestly, before the next begins.
HOW IT WORKS
Learn it, apply it, bring it to the group
Each tier of the program is delivered the same way, so you always know what to expect:
- — A practical workbook you complete at your own pace, with real prompts for your real numbers.
- — Short teaching videos that walk you through the concepts behind each module.
- — Optional weekly group coaching calls, where you bring your answers and work through them with peers and a coach — because you shouldn't have to work through this alone.
You move through the program one tier at a time. Each tier is paid in full before it's released, so your investment always matches exactly where you are — you're never paying up front for content you haven't reached yet.

Every business we've worked with starts in the same place: Awareness — knowing what's actually happening in your numbers. It's the foundation everything else in the program is built on, and it's the tier we've made it easiest to begin.

- — Once Awareness is genuinely complete, move on to Sales — and so on, one tier at a time.

Who is Future Focused Business for?
Future Focused Business is for established business owners who are ready to get serious about the financial health of their business — using the Profit First method and the Business Priority Pyramid as the framework. It suits owners who want structure, honest self-assessment, and coaching support, rather than a quick fix.
Do I need to already know Profit First before I start?
No. The early modules build the Profit First foundations from the ground up. Prior exposure to Profit First is a bonus, not a requirement.
How much time do I need to commit?
Each workbook is designed to be worked through at your own pace, and the weekly Group Coaching Calls run for around an hour. We recommend setting aside 1-2 hours per week to work on your business, by working through the workbooks, watching videos or attending calls. Beyond that, the time commitment is really up to you — the more consistently you engage with a module, the more you'll get out of it before moving to the next.
Is this delivered online or in person?
Future Focused Business is delivered online through our Platform — workbooks, videos, and Group Coaching Calls are all accessible remotely, so you can work through the program from anywhere.
What does the program actually include?
Three things: a workbook and resources for each module, supporting videos, and weekly live Group Coaching Calls where you can work through whatever stage you're currently on with PFAC and your peers.
How is the program structured?
Future Focused Business follows the Business Priority Pyramid — six tiers, from Awareness at the base through Sales, Profit, Structure, Impact, and Legacy at the peak. Each tier is built on the one below it, so the modules are designed to be worked through in that order.
Do I have to complete the modules in order?
Yes — the pyramid is sequential, not a menu. A weak foundation lower in the pyramid usually explains the struggles that show up higher up, so each tier needs to be genuinely in place before the next one can hold weight.
How long does the whole program take?
There's no fixed end date — Future Focused Business is self-paced, and you move to the next module when you're ready and have paid for it. Most participants find a rhythm of one module at a time, supported by the weekly calls, works best. It’s likely that it will take 1-3 months to complete each module, depending on how much work you put in and what systems have already been developed in your business.
What if I get stuck on a module?
That's exactly what the weekly Group Coaching Calls are for. Bring whatever you're working through — or stuck on — to a call, and work through it with PFAC and the group. You can also reach out directly between calls.
How does payment work?
You pay for each module individually, as you reach it — not one large upfront fee for the whole program. This lets you move through Future Focused Business at a pace and cost that suits your business.
Why pay per module instead of upfront?
It means you're never paying for content you haven't reached yet, and you can pause between modules if you need to without losing anything you've already paid for and completed.
Can the price of a module change?
Pricing for a module you haven't yet purchased may change from time to time. Once you've paid for and been given access to a module, that price doesn't change retrospectively.
What if I don't finish a module before moving on?
Modules you've paid for stay accessible, so you can return to finish a workbook or rewatch a video at any point. See our Terms and Conditions for the full access period.
Are the weekly calls compulsory?
No — attendance isn't mandatory. You're welcome to work through Future Focused Business using just the workbooks and videos if that suits you better.
What actually happens on a call?
You bring wherever you're currently up to in the program — a question, a sticking point, a number you want a second opinion on — and the group works through it together, with PFAC coaching the discussion. You might be able to share what’s happened to you and your business to help others experiencing the same problems.
Will I have to share my financial information with the group?
Only what you choose to. The calls work on voluntary disclosure — many participants find sharing their numbers with a trusted group is one of the most valuable parts of the program, but nothing is compulsory.
Is what's said on a call kept confidential?
Yes. Everyone on a call agrees to keep what's shared by other participants confidential and not to discuss it outside the group. Full detail is in our Terms and Conditions.
What results can I realistically expect?
Results depend on how consistently you implement — but participants who work through the modules and engage with the weekly calls typically see clearer visibility over their numbers early on, followed by steadier cashflow and more consistent owner pay as they move up the pyramid.
Is this financial, legal or tax advice?
No. Future Focused Business is general business coaching and education built around the Profit First framework and accountability to keep building your business. For a decision specific to your circumstances — structuring, tax planning, or a legal matter — we'll always point you to a qualified professional, and you should seek that advice before acting.
Does this work for a not-for-profit or sole trader, not just a growth business?
Yes. The Profit First framework and the Business Priority Pyramid apply regardless of structure — the numbers and the language adjust, but the sequence of Awareness through to Legacy holds for a not-for-profit protecting its mission or a sole trader building an asset, not just a $750k+ business.
What do I need to access the platform?
Just a device, an internet connection, and a browser capable of streaming video and viewing PDF or online workbooks — no special software required.
